PSA of 4.3, T1C, 12 cores taken, 3 positive with 84% organ confined. His urologist sat down with us, gave us the news and told us about the 3…

ams 800
Has anyone had a problem with the control pump for the ams 800 being in the wrong place? It seems like it horizontal instead of vertical like the pictures I have seen. It was installed on Monday, Feb. 16. If so, should I be contacting my doctor about this issue before my 2 week appointment? Thanks for any advice on this…

Active Surveillance or Radical Prostatectomy?
My PSA result last month was 3.46 which was up from 2.76 two years ago. Had a 12 core color doppler biopsy last week and was told yesterday that I had a Gleason score of 3+3 in one core <10%. I am 54 years old and my urologist at USC said I have two options; 1) Active Surveillance or 2) Radical Prostatectomy via Di Vinci.…

TRT
I thought this an interesting article. I have been on Casodex for two years, which I stopped one month ago. I then started an anabolic steroid which actually reduces T levels. I have been concerned about having very low levels of testosterone and my decision is to take Androl 50 mg. for about three weeks. I am only…

Just Diagnosed with prostate cancer
I just received my biopsy results and it is not good news. My Gleason score is 4+3=7, cancer was found in 4 out of 12 cores. My dre was normal and my psa was 6.1 before biopsy. At this point I am looking at my options. My question is this: Ever since one day after my dre was performed, I have had a dull pain in the…

Considering end of AS due to new pathology
Hello all. I've been on AS since 2010 diagnosis. Posted often back then and have given periodic updates since. Original diagnosis was with 1/12 cores positive, 5% of tissue, 3+3 Gleason at age 56. First three biopsies had exactly the same results. Recently, after the 4th biopsy, 3/12 cores were positiive, 10-15% of tissue,…

2 Years Post Op and Bladder Aches
Just curious to see if anybody has experienced what I have been experiencing. I am 2 years 3 months post op after a radical prostatectomy. Everything is good except recently my bladder has started to ache deep down. These are short experiences - maybe a few seconds to +/- 30 seconds. I am trying to identify the exact…

Post-RP
I'm starting a new thread, since I am now post-surgical removal, and any future discussion will be of different matters from those when I was figuring out which First-Line therapy to go with. I got the cath out this morning. They filled my bladder with fresh water first, to see how much bladder control I had, and I was…

Where Do We Go From Here?
My husband is 70, slim and in pretty good health other than 5mg of lisinopril to control HBP. His PSA was 6 before he had a biopsy in late September for the usual symptoms of frequent urination, urgency and poor flow. Of the 12 cores, 9 were positive for Adenocarcinoma. Gleason Score as follows 3 @ 4+4, 5 @ 4+3 and 1@ 3+3,…
