Pain In Penis 5 weeks post surgery
I am having pain inside my penis 5 weeks after surgery. Worse pain is near base of penis. No pain urinating, flow ok. It is worse at night and keeps me awake. Asked my doctor and he said it is probably due to the nerves being extra sensitive after surgery. Very disconcerting. Anyone with similar problem. Thanks

After treatment...then what
Stats: Age 56, robotic prostatectomy 11/06, Gleason 6, cancer contained with negative nodes, 95% cure, great continence, no woody yet. great supportive wife. OK when do I not think about the cancer everyday; and why am I so damned depressed?

Radical Perineal Prostatectomy
I am scheduled to have a radical perineal prostatectomy at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore next month. I am sufficiently frightened. I would like to hear from others who have had this procedure, specifically about issues that arose during surgery or complications during recovery.

Newly diagnosed
My husband was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. His gleason score is 6. The Urologist is recommending surgery because of his age (55). We are going to check out all of his options, but any words of advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
