RECOVERY AFTER LUNG REMOVAL
In Dec. 2004, I had a PNEUMONECTOMY (removal of my entire left lung) performed. Since then, there is no sign of the cancer returning although I do realize it's still early. My question deals with what is "normal" during recovery. At this time, my pain seems to be mostly in both sides of my upper chest. I don't know if this…

Possible recurrance
I was diagnosed with Stage IIIa non-small cell lung cancer in 9/03. I underwent chemo which shrunk the tumor by more than 1/2. 12/03 had a portion of my lung removed. Then three more rounds of chemo. Have been cancer-free since 2/04. My routine CT last week showed something "suspicious" so I'm scheduled for a PET scan Mon.…

I have been doing some research on alternative treatments and find quite often reference to an Australian aboriginal bush remedy which is reported to have some very positive results. The plant is an Australian…

brain met. possible lung cancer
2 weeks ago my 68 year old dad had surgery for removal of a brain tumor. Path. report indicates the tumor was a met. most likely originating from lung cancer. We have a CT/PET scheduled for 7-19. Friday we saw a radiologist who wants to begin whole brain radiation (just in case there are microscopic cells lingering) and is…

non-small cell lung cancer
My mum has recently been diagnosed with the above and I am desperate for positive news on survivors. She has been told hers is inoperable. She is also a diabetic and the first 2 Chemo sessions have left her extremely weak and depressed. We are in the UK and understand that treatment in the USA is far more advanced and…
