Got Latest CT Results an Hour Ago on My Provider's App
My CEA had been rising a bit, nothing super high, but a steady rise. I was due for a CT, as I have liver lesions that MD Anderson can't decide are mets or something else. Colon cancer loves it some liver, so both surgeons consulted said cut them out, as I was likely mis-staged and I should have been a IV. I was about to…

Taste and smell
I've heard of patients diminished or loss of smell or taste, but since I started VECTIBIX chemo my sense of smell and taste have become more intense. Especially sensitive to salty foods. Also, I feel like I have worse body odor, but I think I'm just smelling myself more because no one in my family has noticed. Has anyone…

Living With Regret
Hi all, I posted a few weeks ago about my wonderful 64 year old father, who after a few months of vague symptoms (gas and weight loss) was diagnosed with colon cancer, with massive spread in the liver, both adrenal glands, lungs, bone, and brain. The tumor was in the sigmoid colon and was 8cm, so I am shocked he had no…

Hi Everyone- After 7 treatments with infusion chemo and a recent mri and ct scan, my oncologist said it was okay for me to move on to radiation and pill chemo. During that visit, I told him that my bowels had become incontinent in addition to the diarrhea I've had since starting infusion chemo. I could tell he was…

Anyone else on Panatumumad!? I've done FOLFOX and FOLFIRI, I was responsive to botH and NED for a bit but cancer returned. Fever days after chemo
I'm on my 2nd round of Folfox. I get it every 2 weeks and wear a bag for 46 hours. Neuropathy has been bad this time around and I know it will only get worse. Usually my worst days are Thursday, Friday and Saturday since I get the bag off on Thursday. Today for some reason I felt off and took a nap. When I woke up I had a…

Cancer is now causing me severe pain **UPDATED**
**UPDATE** Surgery is now scheduled at Sloan Kettering for July 28. The feeling is that chemo won't do much, but they still want me to complete 4 cycles (1 down, 3 to go) before surgery. Plus I need 8 weeks off Avastin (had it 2 weeks ago; discontinued as of now). Surgery would be sooner, but my surgeon is going on…

Tinnitus//Constant Ringing in the Ears//No Sleep
Hi all, I am suffering from tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears), as one of the side effects post IV and oral chemotherapy for stage 3C colon cancer. It first began as soft sounds just here and there, but now about 6 months after the ringing began, it has gotten significantly worse -- I now hear the noises (varies in…

The neon light was flickering in the window so I decided to climb over the yellow crime scene tape and make my way to the front door.
