My Favorite Insurance Stalling Tactics
I have been dealing with this all morning. I don't really get upset anymore because I realize what it is. 1. You need to fill out this form stating whether you have another insurance and we are going to deny anything that comes in, until you do. 2. Docs that you have been using all of a sudden become Out of Network.

Now I know how and why I can beat this crap
I have learned that you find who your true friends are and who really cares for you when you get onto a cancer journey. It does warm the heart. Just as you all have for me here. It is better then croaking quickly with a heart attack and never knowing how folks really felt about you. I got this statement in an email from…

Chronic Cough
I believe that I have mentioned that I have had this cough that I can't seem to get rid of and thought that it could possibly be cancer in the lungs. The Old Lady is Starting College
I did my college assessment today, and I'm not as dumb book wise as I thought. I get to take the "big kids" college courses and no remedial. Not bad for someone that got out of school 35 years ago, with only a GED so she could join the Air Force!!! It'll be 3 months before school starts (I think) time for some recovery…

I was told that 90% of recurrence happens in the first year.
My oncologist told me that with colon cancer if there is a recurrence then it will happen within the first year in 90% of the cases. What he wasn’t clear on is if the recurrence happens one year after the last chemo treatment, or one year after the resection. My last chemo treatment was six months ago, and my resection was…
