AdenoCarcinoma of Unknown Primary Online Support List

Description: 

Free, unmoderated discussion list for patients, family, friends, researchers, and physicians, to discuss clinical and non-clinical issues and advances pertaining to cancers of unknown primary. This includes information about patient experiences, psychosocial issues, new research, clinical trials, and discussions of current treatment practices as well as alternative treatments. The quality of the exchanges is based on the monitoring of the list by a group of experienced volunteers. Information about ACOR (the Association of Cancer Online Resources, Inc), a highly respected 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, incorporated in New York State, may be found at http://www.acor.org.

Gilda's Club Seattle

The mission of Gilda's Club is to provide places where people with cancer and their families and friends join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care. Free of charge and nonprofit, Gilda's Club offers support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a nonresidential, home-like setting. Funding is solicited from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

The Kimberly D. Holland Hodgkin's Disease Foundation

The KDH Hodgkin's Disease Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1999 by Kimberly and Randi Holland. Kimberly was diagnosed in March 1994 with Stage IIB Hodgkin's Disease and is still currently undergoing treatments for the disease. The Foundation funds clinical trials, research and publications relating to finding a cure for Hodgkin's Disease. Donations to this foundation will be forwarded to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN)

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Inc. (PanCAN) is a non-profit public benefit organization that is the premier voice for the pancreatic cancer community.

PanCAN is dedicated to focusing national attention on the need to find a cure for and ultimately to eliminate pancreatic cancer.

This will be accomplished by providing public and professional education that embraces the urgent need for more research, effective treatments, and early detection and prevention programs.

Meals on Wheels

A County program to assist elderly and disabled with nourishing meals. They deliver 7 meals one time per week (frozen dinners)for those who cannot get out or live too far away from their facility, at a cost of $2.00 per meal, or meals are served hot daily at their facility.

The Center for Patient Partnerships
