Tribute Page?

I am wondering with so many losses on this board this past year if there is anyway to set up a tribute type page to our site?

I don't know how everyone feels about that, but I  feel like it might be a way for all of to mourn, honor and remember the ladies who have contributed so much here about their journeys...

I don't know if CSN would even allow this, but at times like this when deMaus is so sick, evolvo58 and KatnHat have not been heard in addition to many others over the years I would take comfort if something like this could be set up.

That way our ladies would know in advance they have the option of choosing a fellow member to keep everyone updated should they be unable to do so, and newcomers could read their about me page, blog or journey if a tribute page was designed to show their user name, type of cancer, date of diagnosis & death.

I just wanted to put this out there as I struggle with the most recent reports on our site.

Prayers for ALL our ladies here...

CivilMatt on the Head and Neck Cancer board maintains a "roll call" that is a combination of active members' information and a list of members who have died that he knows about. He updates this periodically. See https://csn.cancer.org/node/320692 for the latest version.

Perhaps we could use a similar approach on our site. We could limit it to just those members who have passed. And instead of recapping some of the comments about the member that others have posted, we could include a link to the message(s) that announced their deaths since those are where so many comments from other members are found.

I was thinking of something like the information for Linda Procopio that I've summarized below:

Linda was key in working with CSN to establish a separate board for uterine cancer. As a result of her UPSC diagnosis, she was a prolific poster and dedicated supporter to others who had UPSC as well as other forms of uterine cancer.

    Her profile is at https://csn.cancer.org/user/95138

Her death notification thread is at https://csn.cancer.org/node/230539 Further information is at https://csn.cancer.org/node/230661

If others think this is a good idea I'd be happy to take the lead on starting this compilation. Those who were close to the member could help in providing information for the introductory text about the member.

Please do. I have been here long enough that I have trouble remembering everyone. It is only when an old thread gets pulled up that I am reminded of  ladies  who have been a positive part of my life. I don't want to forget.

    Each of us

I have been on the board for a year.   Different members seem to have different needs.  Some don't want to share their hard times, thinking it will upset others.  Some think their good news might make others feel bad.  Some go off the board during hard times, and others seek us out for comfort.   I would love to see a tribute page, but wonder how to repsect each persons wishes.   Who of us have not gone back and read the stories of brave women here who succumbed to this disease.   Linda P was such an inspiration. and her posts on this board are a real legacy for her.  There are so many others.  I would be in favor of the remembrance .

    Tribute page

What a wonderful idea! Thank you for suggesting it. CMB it sounds like you have the skill set to create a format and process. I have read the other section at the bottom of the general discussion board posts but a place specifically within the uterine cancer forum would make it easier.

    Tribute Page

Hello, I haven't been online in awhile but tonight I came across the new Tribute page.  I moved on to discussion board and wanted to return to Tribute page but couldn't find it.

Could you please tell me how to find it?   My sister has advanced uterine papillary serous cancer so I follow the board.  The information and comments are very helpful.

Linda Procopio's posts should be all in one thread.

Her contributions to this site are invaluable, always sharing with us in mind, the future women who will read her story, her support of others. She passed away long before I came here but I still reread her posts because she was so inspirational.
