Test Your Brain!

Thursday, October 17, 2019 - 1:00pm
Your announcement.:

The Laboratory for Brain and Cognitive Health Technology at McLean Hospital is collaborating with the National Cancer Institute to implement a study looking at cognition in those who have been affected by cancer.

The study takes about an hour and includes completing 2 questionnaires about your background and then completing 12 cognitive tasks that look at your attention and cognitive style. At the end, you will get your scores on these tests and how they compare to others who have completed the same tests.

1) We are seeking women and men who have a current or past diagnosis of cancer between the ages of 18 and 89.

2) However, you cannot be currently receiving treatment for cancer (e.g. surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or hormonal therapy etc.)

You will receive no direct benefits from your participation in this study. However, you will be given feedback on your performance on the tests at the end of the study. In addition, we hope this study will provide information that will further cancer researchers’ understanding of cognition in cancer affected individuals and appropriate tests to use to examine brain health in people who have had cancer.
