on Dec 11th, Dr Crane, has anyone used him at Sloan? He said he could help shrink up this bile duct tumor so the chemo would be more effective. The oncology appointment today was pretty productive, and his numbers all remained the same which is good. The surgical department refused more surgery but it’s fine because the only option was a Whipple and it’s a crazy huge life altering surgery. So I suggested radiation, she went back to them and they said it was good idea. Seriously guys I think I want a finders fee lol either way I am just happy someone has offered to do something to shrink this thing down. Not sure what kind of radiation we will get a plan when we meet with him, or should I say when my husband does because I can’t go in with him I have to get our son to and from school.

I hope you get the info you need from the Radiation Oncologsit.  You have so much on your plate, I hope all goes well.

it’s got to calm down eventually I hope! My son had a good day today at least. His broken up kidney stone seems to leaving with no ill effects. Last night the anesthesia got to him and he threw up often, it was so hard to explain it to him, he was so upset. All is well today and for that I am grateful!

I'm glad that he got through the procedure, too bad about the vomitting.  I hope that those little bitty stones pass with no problems.

Take care of yourself inbetween taking care of your loved ones, OK.

Ha! You should ask. Heck I just asked for a frequent fliers discount from our hospital in lieu of the wing that they will be soon naming for our family. Between Jim & myself it was over a half million dollars just this year alone! I am glad that they can do something!!!!

Make sure you find a good one that you both are happy with - mine was awesome and made me feel so much more at ease with the whole process.  Radiation itself doesn't take that long once they set you up.  Radiation shrunk my tumor from about the size of a nickle to the tip of a ball point pin in 6 weeks so it can do amazing things.  I'm glad that the doctor agreed to it.  Let us know how his new appointment goes.  BTW you should get a finder's fee.
