    I Would Guess

If he is just 2 weeks out it is still possibly a reaction from the treatment. Folks on here say you cook from the radiation for maybe up to 2 weeks. So this may just part of the process of things settling down. If he did not have radiation maybe an operation or chemo can still play into it.   Since he is in the early stages of post finishing treatment he should have a follow up with one of his docs soon so if he still has the pain yet have them look at it. If he doesn't have a follow up soon call one of your docs-probably radiation or if you have a nurse navigator call and get their opinion if you should come in and have it checked-hope this helps-God Bless-Russ

    Thanks Russ

I am hoping too that it is just a side effect of rad therapy. He has an appt. again October 25th--one month since treatments.I guess a person is always afraid with any thing that goes on after cancer. He has been so blessed so far.The radation dr told him he had never seen anyone do so well with so little side effects. He feels very well except for that sore gland. His cancer on his neck was as big as a baseball nearly. The radiation took it all away.as far as the swelling goes. They said the primary cancer was unknown, the rad dr thinks though it started in mouth. His pet scan showed none in lungs. They just dont know I guess where primary was.He is now remodeling our bathroom--works all day-I am afraid he does to much, but again maybe that is good for him.He turned 70 oct 10th so he is not a young man either.I pray every day that the cancer is gone--but we wont know until 4 months when they do another scan.He couldnt have surgery for the cancer .It was wrapped around the cartoid artery therefore to dangerous. He didnt take chemo because rad dr said he wasnt in any physical shape to do it.I am afraid because he didnt sometimes. The cancer was stage 4,and they said he only had 4 months or so if he didnt have any treatment at all.He really is doing so well sometimes I almost forget he has cancer.I pray everday it continues and he lives to be 100.That is all one can do.I am glad I found this site, so I can learn things.I knew absolutely nothing about cancer.I have learned so much here.Sorry this post is so long.I get started and cant stop--really dont have to many I can talk to.All my friends like myself know so little.--thanks again

    Okeydokey don't worry

we are all learning more on here and elsewhere each day that's how we help each other too by sharing. Thanks for your explanation of how your husband's treatment was and how he is doing. Let him work all day if he wants probably keeps his mind off things and if he gets really tired his body will let him know with some good old-fashioned tiredness and fatigue and he'll take a break. Glad he had few side effects and did so well with treatment. We all don't know a lot about cancer until we or a close family member gets it then we start checking things out to help ourselves or others. God Bless-Take Care and don't think ahead on the 4-month scan just live each day to the fullest and when the scan is done see where you're at and were praying for NED (No Evidence of Disease)
