leg pain

Hi everyone, I am over a year out from treatment, radiation also included right node of pelvis. Just recently I am experiencing leg pains when walking, I dont know if this could be a long term effect from the radiation or perhaps something else. I also have copd and am on an inhailer (Anoro) at this point dont know if the leg pain is from the inhailer or related to treatment. Has anyone experienced this? thanks in advance.

I hope other than the leg pain and copd, you are doing well.  I'm not sure about the pain in your legs, as there could be numerous causes.  I would definitely get checked out.  My biggest concern would be have a blood clot.  I hope it is nothing serious!

    Me too.

I also have pain in my buttocks, thighs, lower back and hips which I never had before radiation. But I also have degenerative disc disease in my lower spine which was diagnosed after my treatments. Doctors tell me that my disc problems are unrelated to the radiation. Only one Doctor - my Primary Care Physician - has acknowledged that the hip stiffness and pain and weakness in my thighs was caused by radiation. Like you, the pain didn't start right after treatments, I remember being able to walk without pain at first.  Aquatic exercising and stretching exercises  which I learned in physical therapy and adjustments by an osteopathic doctor are a help to me. It's been six years and just seems to be something I'm going to have to live with. It's frustrating. I hope you can get some answers and find something that helps you.
