I have a swelling, on the right side, so I was suitable freaking terrified.. so I tortured my ENT into a test, and got this...

 

CT neck May 4, 2018 HISTORY: Base of tongue cancer, status post chemoradiation. New pain.

TECHNIQUE: A spiral volume scan is made through the neck during administration of 100 cc of nonionic Omnipaque 300.

COMPARISON: December 20, 2017 and outside CT January 23, 2017

FINDINGS: There are no recurrent soft tissue masses. There are postsurgical changes in the left neck due to left neck dissection. The postoperative fluid collections have resolved. There are no enlarged cervical lymph nodes. Visualized portions of the orbits and brain are within normal limits. The nasopharynx and oral cavity are normal in appearance. The salivary glands are normal. The larynx and thyroid are normal. No masses are present in the lung apices.

A Port-A-Cath is present on the right. Lucencies in the C6 vertebral body are stable. The vascular structures are normal.

IMPRESSION: There is no evidence of mass or adenopathy. 

 

This had me, overjoyed! as you can imagine!

 

BUT - there's always a but right?

 

On Mammogram a lump showed up and now I have to have a biopsy on the 24th. It wasn't on the last one, and it's not a calcified lump, its "squishy" as Dr put it.

Didn't help that he asked about my neck, then after I told him the treatments, he said.. "so you know what chemo is like then?"

So fingers crossed.
