Today is the day I go back to get disconnected from the take home chemo. My doctor had said the couple of days after I weould feel tired and beat up. He was not wrong. I can't even describe how I feel bad, just that I do. It is only my second infusion. I hope this is really just a couple of days.

    I'm 5 days out from

I'm 5 days out from disconnect from my first folfox treatment, and I'm just today feeling ok- it hit me hard for 4 of those days, today was a bit better- no more nausea or compelte exhaustion. Keep in mind though that hte more treatments you get- the longer the effects might stay- but lso be encouraged that it does gradually wear off in about 4-5 days

    Disconnect

Awwww I'm so sorry you feel like this because I've been there and know how it feels to feel that crash and just terrible yucky feeling.  The disconnect is such a relief knowing that you are "disconnected" but the actual reality of the disconnect is a total let down.  It will take you a couple days to get past that.  Just try to stay as active as you can and not let it totally consume you as then you will feel really bad.  Try to get up as much as you can, but you also need your rest after coming off a rush of steroids.  Best of luck for you.  Hoping you feel better soon.

    Thanks y'all. It helps to

Thanks y'all. It helps to know that this is the way it is, and that I will get past it. I feel guilty just laying down doing nothing, but I really don't feel good. Sorry you have nausea.

Kim, about the disconnect. Since my diagnosis, my blood pressure has been high. They say it is the stress. When I go in for the infusions, it is 159 over 90, when I go in for the disconnect, it is down to 140 over 84.

    BP

Mine was also high while going in, heck look at what you are facing.  You are anxious about the treatment and scared.  That would be enough to make anyone's BP go up.  As long as it is going down when you go in for the disconnect you should be good.  Stress is a high motivator for BP spikes.  It's hard to stay calm in these situations.  Take a deep breath sometimes - that does help.

    Hugs! Kim

While I was on that I ended

While I was on that I ended up absolutely flat on my back fatigued. It eased up a couple of weeks after treatment was finished. but, I was having radiation at the same time so that didn't help.
