Here I am again on another adventure!! A massive bruise was noticed by the nurse on Sunday while she was taking off the tape around my post. I mean, massive bruise!! And it hurts! No wonder I was in so much pain just right after the infusion was inserted. I complained to the nurse, but she says the dextrose was dripping fine. I think I had the leakage otherwise it won't leave bruise that goes all the way down the side of my breast. It still hurting me so I called the doctor's clinic to see him today. I'll let you guys know his findings later tonight.

Well, it's kind of late to say about the findings on my massive bruise after seen my doctor. They injected dye to find out the cause of the bruise. The fray didn't show any ruptured tubing. Doctor explained to me there was a possibility the nurse accidentally bumped the needle with the infusion while taping it on around my port and made the needle moved & leaned on the side of the port rather than stayed center. I still have the bruise and a little pain from it. I will have the 3rd infusion tomorrow and Oh boy, I am very nervous!

I had some meds leaked out of

I had some meds leaked out of the port... that's the findings I'd got from my oncologist and since my bruise is still bad she had to cancel the infusion yesterday. She was very apologetic, but feeling sorry won't heal my bruise, but I accepted her apology. I will have the infusion next week. That is my 3rd, after that I have 9 more to go to complete the treatment. Long way to go!! :(

    I had a severe leak..

I had a severe leak, I thought I was going down. Oxaliplatin was all up my neck and required the port to be replaced.

i had a lot of pain and had a blood clot on my juggler. I took Xyrolta for 80 days (nasty ****).

i hope you don't have to deal with my problems.

    Good Luck

I am sorry to hear about your

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience. I know now how it feel like. The bruise I have is still noticeable and painful, not so bad but still hurts when accidentally touched while combing my hair or brushing my teeth. I will have my infusion this Friday. Wish me luck :(
