Latest ct scan still Ned. So happy! Now to carry on with kidney cyst. It has grown just a bit since last September. They think it's a carcinoma but not sure. it has been a year on the 22nd of this month that I was diagnosed with colon cancer. It's been quite a ride and yes we are stronger than we think.

    NED is wonderful!

Happy Dancing Man coming your way.

I have a cyst on my liver that they are leaving alone. I hope the plans for your kidney are easy and doesn't require surgery.

    May you be NED forever.

    Congrats!

Glad to hear you are still NED!

You sound like me.  I had a growth on my kidney that we watched (ignored) all during my colorectal cancer treatments (for a year).  The "cyst" grew over that time.  My urologist told me while we were "watching" it: "If it grows, it is cancer and we take it out".  It grew.  Slowly (thank goodness).  I was able to have DaVinci Robotic assisted surgery and was able to have a partial nephrectomy - as the tumor was in a good spot for it.  It was cancer (they can't tell until it's removed).  I was in and out of the hospital within 24 hours following the surgery.  The tumor was less than 4 cm so it was an early stage.  The only follow-up post surgery are yearly scans.  Surgery for small/early kidney tumors are 95% plus curative.

So - be encourage.  And for more info on kidney cancers - visit the kidney board, too.  Lots of great folks there with great info.

    Wishing you the best!
