The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer are hosting a free seminar for people affected by cancer and friends or family. The seminar, which focuses on flavor and food enjoyment problems caused by cancer treatment aims to give attendees a chance to hear from experts in the fields of taste, smell, flavor creation, nutrition and sensory science. It will be held on June 21 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC. Participants will:

  • Learn how cancer and its treatment affect smell and taste
  • Hear from researchers, chefs, dietitians, and other health professionals
  • Join a workshop with Chris Kelly, specialist in smell training
  • Discuss the ways that cancer affects sensory function and daily life
