is anyone getting anal paps after treatment to determine early AIN and or reoccurrence?

are any of you getting high resolution anoscopy routinely?

is anyone getting any reoccurrence preventative treatment such as topical medications?  Is anyone aware of any preventive treatments being provided Anywhere?

thanks

I have had none of the above.  My CR doctor does not do anal paps or HRA.

I'm not aware of any topical medications or preventative measures other than adhering to the follow-up guidelines stated in the NCCN.org guidelines.

There are some people on Blogforacure.org that have had HRA. For the most part, they sought out HRA themselves, as I don't think it was offered  by their physicians.  The HPVand anal cancer foundation has some excellent information about these procedures.

    Anal paps

I had an anal pap done at 2 years out by my "new" gyn at Emory in Atlanta. Her name is Dr Flowers and she specializes in HPV cancers. I will say it burned during the procedure, but all came out normal. I still have my regular DRE and scans.

I appreciate your input.  I've had tissue biopsies during flex dig which were negative for HPV or tissue changes but who actually knows what they are biopsying.  Do u have High Resolution Anoscopy?

    Best to you!
