Met to lungs now lumbar vertebrae #1 and deep muscle in back

I have not posted for awhile, however looking for anyone out there that have experienced the same as my husband He was originally diagnosed dec 15 of head and neck cancer in right neck and a few lymph nodes.

They were not able to fine occult primary, so did radiation on both sides of neck along with chemo. he finished those treatment 3/15/16 and then 5/27/16 pet scan showing neck cancer gone but metatisized to both lungs.

he then did 6 3 week cycles of Keytruda when new ct scan indicated progression.

we tried Moffitt, UF Orlando and MD Anderson for trials but they would not accept him due to the unknown primary.

so no other choice but standard chemo of carboplatin and FU5 which yesterday will be 2nd treatment.

his back has been hurting so yesterday did a Mri, which I just found out indicated mets to #1 vertebrate in back along with in a deep muscle in back. Next step is radiation for those and scan end of dec to see if chemo is working on lungs. Anyone can help me with similar occurrences?

thank you, very upset.

    I don't have experience, but

I don't have experience, but I didn't want to read and not respond. I am sorry you guys are going through this. Cancer really is not fair. You and your husband will be in our prayers. Hoping you find the help you need and the new treatment works.

Whst not exactly the same I

Whst not exactly the same I had mets that spread to my L4 as well as other places. The pain was crazy and I now have a compression fracture at L4. I'm currently undergoing Keytruda after 8 months of chemo. If it workas they will look at operating on the fracture. I feel for you guys as the pain is incredibly intense. Have they mentioned operating?
