Update and question-- is it too soon?

Well, I got my BRCA study back and I am BRCA negative.  I know that there is a small difference in outcomes between positive and negative results...

I did my first round of Doxil two weeks ago.  I have minimal side effects :)...  Anyway here's my question.  I had a pleural effusion.  It came back after my hysterectomy and never really left through front line treatment.  It dried up slightly, but came back.  I asked my doctor about it constantly.  I am 12 days post first infusion of Doxil, and I feel a significant difference with my effusion.  It is still there, but it is SIGNIFICANTLY better.  Most of the time I don't feel it at all-- I have to twist around, bend over in order to feel it.  I also have significantly more energy.  When I told my husband, he said it was the steroids-- I'm not so sure.  I would think if it were the steroids, it would not last 12 days.  Is it too soon to see these positive effects from chemo?  I just don't want to get my hopes up.

    Jodi, I can't comment but

Jodi, I can't comment because I don't know, but maybe you can call and talk to a nurse at the office to see what she thinks.  Everyone is different, and I know anytime I called I always started with that, but they were as honest as they could be with me and that is all I wanted.

I hope someone can chime in an answer your question.
