Welcome, I'm assuming they clipped the polyp during the colonoscopy? It sounds pretty contained to me, will they check again in a year? Tell us what was done and what the doctors plan is for keeping an eye on it. You're fortunate to catch it so early, I'm thinking.......................................................Dave

I had bleeding on 1/1/16 and ended up with colonoscopy on 1/15/16. No family history of colon cancer. Polyp removed during colonoscopy. It was a 5 cm pedunculated polyp / mushroom type. Mod div adenocarcinoma in the head of the polyp with high grade displasia Haggitt level 1. no vascular or aglo. No Cancer or displasia in a stalk 2 cm. 3 different pathology dep redone the pathology - including Cancer center and all agreed on the findings.

Had MRI and CT scan. Regular blood tests CEA 0.3.

i did consider surgery and spoke to different colorectal surgeons. Few would operated based on my age. But cancer center showed my national Cancer guideliness and claims surgery not indicated in my case. But still worried. My GI says my risk is less than 1% so surgery risk is higher. But I know from research my Cancer could have spread by blood so now it's just matter of luck. 

Also I have few hemangiomas in my liver and few cysts. Just had 3D MRI with contrast in a Cancer center and radiologist says hemangiomas. Anybody knows how occurate these MRIs are? I am going to a Cancer center on Friday to follow up. But the report is in my online chart already. It says 3 hemangiomas range from 1.2 to 2.3 cm. I also had a CT/Pet with contrast scan 2 months ago and clear.

Had complete genetic testing done including Lynch and not genetic.

Next colonoscopy end of July. My GI says the concern is for me to grow new polyps not the old polyp. I had 0.3 mm polyp tubular adenoma in my cecum that was also removed and cleared by biopsy.

I wonder if anybody else her was in a similar situation with a malignant but low risk polyp?

It sounds like they have caught your situation at a very early stage. Wonderful! Scary still, and don't feel like you shouldn't be scared, just because your stage is only I. The fear that comes with a Cancer diagnosis is real, not matter the staging. 

If I were you, I would go about your wonferful life, thinking that all is well, and then start worrying a little in July, as you go for your second colonoscopy. It sounds like you have had multiple tests, and all indications are that everything is well.  As a stage IV, with tests every three months, I will tell you how I deal with it. When I get my test results, NED right now (YAY!), I leave the Ocologist and I LIVE LIVE LIVE my life for a whole three months. About two weeks before my next test, I play the 'what if?' game with myself; but before that, I have faith in the test results and in my team, and I set the worry aside and live my life. 

That, my friend, is my advice to you. As i said above, it really seems like you have covered all bases. You sound very educated on your condition, and that is a plus. Now you have to have faith in the Doctors and set about living. July will come around, all too fast, no doubt, and you can go from there. 

Good luck! Its a horrible  disease, but most diseases are. Live you life, my friend. Be sure and let us know what happens.

Update: My liver is ok. Cancer center has confirmed that I have 3 hemangiomas on my liver.

I will have another CEA test in 6 months. The cancer center claims that my prognosis is very good since my cancer was only in the head of the polyp and is consider low risk polyp.
