Hello,  First time poster.  I started having horrible tibia pain in October 14.  The only time the pain occurred was at night when laying down (deep down, achy).  For months I haven't slept well.  I also have RA (4 years).  I had an apt in Dec with my Rheumatologist who ordered x-ray fory back and knee.  She since she couldn't feel anything the pain most likely was coming from kee or back.  I didn't have insurance at this time and didn't get the x-rays because it would have a waste of money. 3 weeks later I was back in the office .  By this time you could feel a lump.  Ordered x-ray.  Got x-ray it showed nothing. Started my new job, kept doing everything I normally do, my insurance finally kicked in. In February I started back on my Remicade monthly infusions The mass started growing and it was very prominent on the outside at this time. The 2nd week of July I had apt with my PCP. I was getting ready for a week for our annual biker vacation. Dr prescribed percocet for night time pain and ordered an utrasound. Received the results.  PCP scheduled me with a surgeon on the 25th of August he told me it was an atypical lipoma.  He wanted to take it out sooner rather then later. I was scheduled for surgery yesterday 8/28 when his scheduler was helping me I asked what he was calling it on their paperwork.  She said "well dedifferientiated soft tissue mass".  After surgery yesterday Dr came in and said " I have no idea what it is it is a mystery until labs come back" part of it was hard and part was fatty.  I am stunned that a Dr would tell me its a mystery.  Does anyone have any thoughts.......?????
