Hi, my mom has breast cancer with metastasis in the spinal cord and the pelvis.  In June she had her first chemo, but the doctors didn't know she has the metastasis yet.  After she had the chemo we discoverd the met. But the chemo was so strong for her that sent her to the hospital she almost died.  Since then she is in be can't walk and can't gave her another chemo because she is so weak and she still have the tumor in her breast.  The Dr gave her the chemo pills but they make her vomit and she don't want to take the pills.  She is so drepessed and even her cancer is not terminal yet She gave up Already. I want to know is there anybody with the same case that help me to give her hope that she is going to be a little ok Or what treatment or something I can do to help her. Thanks.

    Hi!
    Is her cancer hormone

    Hi!

Is her cancer hormone positive? If so, there are so many treatments available. Im a firm believer the Xgeva shot put my bone lesions in to remission. (im stage 4 mets but in "remission" from Arimidex (hormone blocker) pills and Xgeva shot.

Her Oncologist should know what she can do next. Is her Onc very supportive and informational? Maybe need to find a new one if not.

Also, when medicines made me feel like I was dying, I felt like just giving in. My onc switched my meds and thats all it was, my meds making me feel that way. Im on new med and doing much better and enjoying life again.

    Your Mom

What a Blessing you are to your Mother Normaj....please know that where there is life there is always Hope and Miracles do often happen.  Please tell her that we here understand because we all have Breast Cancer and we send her prayers for HOPE and PEACE.... I would urge you both to take this thing day by day...we know about dispair and depression but we also know things can and do often get much better.  I hope she will do all she can to help herself and that you will seek someone to talk with to learn what can be done.

Normaj I was dx two years ago

Normaj I was dx two years ago with stage 4 breast cancer that mets to all my bones especially to the pelvis area. My doctor said chemo and radiation were of no use and she said to get my affairs in order. That was 2 years ago and I'm still going strong. Tell your mom it's ok to have a bad day but she has to look towards the good days. I'm in a lot of pain but I take it a minute at a time.  If she can have faith be with friends and family that will help as well. If you ever need to talk with someone feel free to message me. God bless you.
