Giant itchy water blister

Okay, in the scheme of things this is way minor, but I have the friggin' largest water blister on my abdomen I have ever seen.  It's not infected or anything and it's not at an incision site.  It's just big and itchy.  Anybody else experienced this after laparoscopic hysterectomy?

    I had blisters

I had serious blisters on my shoulders.  I guess where they used the straps.  It was worst than the surgery itself.  Sorry I didn't take pictures. It was really bad.  Hope yours get better soon.  Mine took the usual healing period.  I remember telling my surgeon jokingly that I was suing and he went beserk saying that I should not talk like that.  Nerve.  When you are sick these Docs really get away with a lot.  Be well.

    I would call doctor right

I would call doctor right away.   my husband got something like that after an insect bite.   He had to take antibiotics.  they called it cellulitis.   Since you just had surgery you should call to make sure since it is big.   I sometimes get small blisters from steri strips and adhesive tape but this sounds different.   just to be sure I would give a quick call.  You may want to take a photo too so you can see if it is startibg to decrease in size.

    I did call

and got in to see a doctor yesterday afternoon.  They simply drained the blister and bandaged it up.  They couldn't figure out what caused it, either.  Hopefully, now, it will just heal like a regular blister.  Thanks, Kaleena.

So happy that it was only

So happy that it was only that.   you have to be careful since you had just come out of the hospital a few days earlier.   I am glad you got it checked out.

By the way, I like your horse.   It must be nice to ride.   I used to ride a long long time ago.

    Riding is my meditation

Unfortunately, my horse is now beginning to experience some age related foot problems so I have not been able to ride him as often as I would like.  Last time I actually got on him was about 6 weeks or so ago.  Even so, his company gives me a center...  always has.

Chris, horseback riding is an awesome experience

Chris, there have been few times in my life where I have experienced the thrill, the escape or the freedom of galloping on a horse!  Oh my, how thrilling!! I am "jealous" of you and Anne who rides her horse. Grab life every moment you can!
