Food for Stutent/RCC

My wifes question, and its a good one. Are there any foods that are helpful with the disease and its symptoms or that help with the drug and its side effect.

Thanks Fox, I'm already there with the pizza and beer. And I came out of my 4 IL2 treatments swearing I would never deny myself whiskey or rd wine when I desire it.

I should also point out that I'm an Englishman and I these days devour my wife's Steak and Kidney pie with something approaching vengeful glee.

So: Whats the diet for extra lumpy people?

    Diet!

Hey Footstomper, I am not sure about any recommendations with regards to food and the drugs. the only advice I had with Votrient is no grapefruit, vinegar or alcohol. Everything else in moderation! With my drug I can't handle fat so bacon and sausages and the like are off the menu. I have cut out anything that creates too much acid in the system, because the Votrient makes my stomach acidic enough.

I am not such a big fan of steak and kidney pie, I prefer steak and kidney pud. I miss toad in the hole which is my all time favourite. But I am right off sausages, too fatty for me now, it doesn't taste quite the same with the French sausage anyway sadly.

Hi Ed, Yes it was common to use Ox kidney but it's not always available so most people use lambs, I think it's more tender.
