Wondering about all of this

Options

I know every day of the week, bad things happen to good people.  And I do have my conversations with God, in my own way.  I get so worn down, when bad things happen to other family members and friends that I have already walked.  (examples, cancer...poor lung function...and being told no more can be done)  It makes me wonder, if all things do happen for a reason.  Trying to learn, or maybe hear what God is asking of me during these times ?  I do recognize what use to matter to me a few yrs. ago doesn't mount to a hill of beans anymore.  Just understanding another's feelings about life, and what they need in the moment is what I try my best to do now.  The past is gone, and the future is uncertain.  Guessing the lesson of Jesus of not worrying about tomorrows troubles, for today's is enough really rings through for me.  Katie

    Hi Katie

Faith is sometimes a very hard thing to have, but we are told that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For me it is hard to see children going through all the crap I been through in the fight of cancer. And I do question God about it, but then I read in the Bible; He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. We don’t know the answer to a lot of questions, we only know that God is there and for what every reason sickness comes we are by faith to pray and believe. I always wondered why I am still alive when my C came back a 3rd time and the doctor gave me only 6 months to live back 2006. Why the C just stopped growing, why am I still here, again I don’t know the answer, all I can do it to put my faith into Gods hands.

PS: I also look at the life of Jesus why did God send His Son to die on a Cross for our sins, we will know the answer someday but for now it is all by faith.

    On the right track

Katie you are on the right track.  You might find my post http://csn.cancer.org/node/263139 of value.  There is a LOT more to be learned.   As Will Rogers said, "Faith originated when the first con man met the first sucker." I often wonder about the concept of "God's Plan" which many think exists.  Let us assume there is a God's Plan for everyone, and you get cancer.  Then you pray to God to take it away, because you do not want it.  Well, with that logic, it must have been part of God's Plan for you to get the cancer in the first place, so, if that is his plan, what is the point of asking him to take it away or you decdiding you do not want it?  My anwer is nothing comes into your life that is not of benefit to you, so be grateful for all that you receive whether you like it or not.  And celebrate every thing that you are given.  It is ALL for your benefit.  You are here to become aware of your potential to progress to a Higher State of Consciousness.  Read my post, and perhaps you will understand.

The true spiritual path is unique for all and available for all, but seldom found in the teachings of Religion, Inc. which are always modified to suit the politicians and priests.
