I hope someone here can advise me on next step to take as every doctor I have seen brushed me away. First I want to say my surgery was not for cancer but I had a ureteral blockage(narrowing) where it meets kidney, which was causing kidney to swell with urine and be painful. Before surgery my pain was on/off only after I drank.

I had my lap surgery abdominal incisions over 4 months ago, my surgeon really messed up, I was in hospital with severe flank/kidney and abdominal pain for over a week because he misplaced stent, I had urine leakage. After 1 week pain came down little and I was discharged. Since then all my tests are coming ok( ct scan, renal scan, ultrasound, no infection) but pain has persisted constantly all the time for 4 months in my flank and right side of abdomen. My pain is much worse than before surgery. My urologist has refused to see me anymore, I saw two more who said they don't have any answer.

My question is how can I get diagnosis for this new pain, I am 25 years old male, but this pain has crippled me totally. Is there any test that will show if pain is coming from kidney, scar tissue or nerves?

I am seeing another urologist in two days, how can I convince him to at least do exploratory surgery and not brush me away like others. Please give me some idea, I cant continue to live in this pain. Thanks.

    Adhesions

If all your tests are not showing any obvious reason for pain, there's something else to consider: anytime there is surgery in the abdominal cavity where things are moved around/ removed you can get adhesions. Adhesions can be mild or severe in nature and require the help usually of a deep tissue massage therapist and a physical therapist to resolve. Good luck!
