MRI Results in

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Will my doctor filially got back from Vacation and called with the results of the MRI. And it is showing nothing that we did not know already, she is even more confused now then she was before. She is trying to get me to see another H&N doctor in New Orleans who deals with the wearied oh like me. In the mean time the necrosis is growing and the doctor can’t think of what needs to be done to help stop it. While praying the other day for some reason I was impressed to use Iodine on it, so that is what I started to do. Yes it burns like hell but no worse than the pain I get from it, so far the leading edge of necrosis seems to be stable but will need to give it more time to see if it has stopped growing. The hole is now the side of a nickel and doc is afraid if it gets too much larger the Uvuia is going to fall into the throat. Just keep me in pray that the Iodine will help to stop it for now.

    when i get in times for need of strength and survivorship you are always one of those inspirations i think of to help pick me up. 

    prayers going out for anything that will help stop the growth and pain.

    I was told to take Vitamin E and they were going to give me a prescription but it had something that I am allergic to in it.  Tedral is what I am allergic to.  I will look into the name of the prescription.  I am also looking into HBOT but I know that you have already taken the 'dive.'

    When I put liquid in my mouth and lean over the sink the liquid comes out my nose. yuck.  I know someone on this site used the Alkalol with water for a mouth rinse.

    Sorry to hear this.

    Sorry to hear about the necrosis. I might have thought about hydrogen peroxide, but it will burn as well, but you could tell something if it foamed or didn't.   The size of a nickel is getting pretty darn big so I see the concern. Sending more prayers and positive thoughts your way.  Hope they get control of this my friend soon.

    Trental

    Trental helps improve blood flow.  That is what the doctor was going to prescribe before a red flag came up.  I am allergic to one of the ingredients.  Looking into HBOT.  Deb Lewis, do you know anything about the Sonora HBOT.  Seems I will have to go to Modesto or Fresno.  Nothing closer, that will tie up my husband also, I don't drive the freeway yet.

    Got a call from my ENT she is sending me to see a Doc at LSU in Baton Rouge on the 27th. If she can’t help I am not sure what I can do, I check this morning and the hole is now the size of a quarter. There is very little of the skin left holding up the Uvula and the pain from it is worse.

    I always knew I was a holy man but just did not know it was this holy. Sometimes all we can do it to laugh and try to make the best out of it. This I do know, that what every comes out of this my Father God will give me the strength and grace to go through it.

    Hi Tim,

    My husband sees Dr. Anna Pou in Baton Rouge.  She is an LSU Head and Neck specialist that sees patients at Mary Bird Perkins.  She is an angel from heaven.  Very kind and compassionate and a bulldog when it comes to her patients.  If that's who you're seeing, she is the best.  My husband would walk through fire for her.

    I'm sorry to hear about you being so holey. I sure hope you find some options to fix this problem. Necrosis of the upper palette right? Is grafting bone not an option? The Lord has watched over you so far and I am certain he will keep doing so.
