Good pathology results after surgery

Yah! Even though I feel like dodo, I have good results.

The lymph nodes that they removed were free from cancer. The tongue tumor is a T1, which means they get to watch me for 5 years to see if I stay cancer-free...

I just have to heal now and learn to eat and talk again. I'm in pain still but that should go away as I heal... I discovered that Narcotic medicine make me puky. So I'm on a bunch of tylenol for pain.

It feels like they took half my tongue, but I suppose the doctor's right and it is only a small part when you look at the entire thing. Right now I'm having to eat jello and wash it down with water because my salvia glands are not working. They say that they will start working again once the swelling goes down.

    good results

    Karen,

Great (I guess), if you can call surgery only great. You get to cut to the front of the recovery line.

    Good to hear Karen

Glad to hear the lymph nodes are clear, and T1 is so much better than T2~4. So It's great news all over. You might concidder Motron over Tylenol. I used to take 800mg of motron and it helps after a few days. It has to build up a little.

    darn good report

Overall, things are going quite well for you. Of course, there is the short term side effects but I'll bet you bypass nearly all the longer term side effects. Great news!

    Hi Karen

Glad you got some good news for a change. On the drugs don’t be afraid to take what you need, our bodies are changed and sometimes need a little help. I did not want any pain killer for a long time because I did not want to become like my brother who is drug attic. Then one day down and depressed I took one and could not believe how good it made me feel. What I do is to cut them in half and take only what I need when I need it.

    God Bless
