iDO inhibitor

Io was asked at las visit if I'd liketo take part in a clinical trial - I was excited hoping it was PARP after googling Parp - I think I have an idea ofhow it works.  can't seem to find a simple explanation for IDO  - the company is Incyte

    I think you're talking about clinical trial # NCT01685255 Phase 2 Study of the IDO Inhibitor INCB024360 Versus Tamoxifen sponsored by Incyte Corporation recruiting in Calgary among other 49 locations. IDO1 enzyme and process of its inhibition is explained here. Another, simpler explanation is here.

    It is actually the next immunotherapy trial I am keeping my eye on for when my PARP trial stops working.

    Alexandra tks soo much for your time - before my stroke brain damage I was good at finding info &now I really do struggle- tks for the links I nlow kind of understand what is being inhibited & why& you are right on with the trial  info.  I go to foothills medical centre in Calgary to the Tom Baker Cancer centre.  the medical centr is tied to the University of Calgary for teaching & research - in fact my doc is a prpof of gyne onc at the U  & an investigator in this trial.
