Missing in action

Once again I have been missing in action....ahhhh nobody told me how busy life was really going to be...School and work are draining me lately, but the semester is over and this is my last summer school free.

I just had to stop in and check in on everyone....did some cyberstalking on you guysTongue Out

For those of you who have been waiting on my book, lol well it is still only one chapter long; we may as well call it a short story. Hopefully this summer I will have some new epic experiences to write about.

I just returned from a 5 day trip to sunny Las Vegas, wowsers...my friend and I go every year the same weekend as the Mayweather fight, Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo, we opted to not go last year as I had just started my chemo and thought I was dyingEmbarassed Looking back on that I can laugh, but it was a tough time as you all have experienced in one way or another....BUT MAN I AM TELLING YOU, CANCER made me feel old this year!!! All I wanted to do was sleep by the pool, but it was too hot out there for my pasty white skin after about 4 hours of smoldering each day, I had to go back to the room shower and nap again.

I was blessed enough this last semester to do some intern hours at my oncologists office and at a local non profit organization that helps with Cancer patients and their financial needs, what an amazing experience.

    hi Carie

I have been thinking of you and missing you but knew you were busy, so no worries.  As you can see, we are all still hanging in there.  Glad to hear that you are too.  You have been through a lot for being so young, but you have handled it with style.  If we have to slow down and take a nap, then that's what we have to do.  You'll get your old self back, it just may be a little slower.  If illness doesn't cause it, age will Wink.

    Thinking of you always,

    Becky

Aaaah Vegas! I have family in Henderson so I go often. Be sure to check out the Valley of Fire, Painted Desert, Zion Park - all an easy drive. Glad to hear you are doing so well!

    Busy is good...

    Hi Carrie,

So glad to see you drop in and give an up-date. Last time I was in Vegas was 2003 on the 4th of July. Man was it hot!!! If memory serves me right it was over 110 degrees for the whole time we were there. Wayyyy too hot for me! Tongue Out I think over time you will get your full energy back and not feel as tired. You are young and your body will bounce back. So happy you are doing good! Take care and check in from time to time. Much love...Sue
