How do you cope with skin problems during Chemo & Radiation? What did you skin feel like? What products did you use?

    Skin issues during chemo

Hi!  I am currently going through 4 rounds of chemo (round #2 completed last Thurs.) then will complete radiation after that.  My chemo treatment is Cytoxan and Taxotere.  My skin has been really dry and I have been using Aveeno Skin Relief 24 hr. moisturing lotion fragrance free.  I love it.  Really hydrates my skin, makes it soft and me comfortable.

About the only skin issues I

About the only skin issues I had with chemo affected my feet.  The edges wanted to peel somewhat and I had a toughened area that went from my foot to my ankle bone on one foot.  I just used lotion.

For radiation, I had some type of lotion or cream.  Miaderm, I think.  I did have some burns, but that was more towards the end and did not keep me from finishing on schedule.  I did heal quickly.

    Skin care

Bag Balm worked wonders on peeling feet! Really massaged & worked in to feet at bedtime & wore socks to bed. Daytime didn't saturate as much but still wore socks & shoes. Only had to treat for about a week until excess peeled. No pain or discomfort.
