PEG Tube Diaper Rash
Lately I been having a lot of problems with the PEG tube becoming sore and red right by the Stoma. I have been trying a lot of different things to clean it up but was not working, the lady at the doctor’s office said try using a diaper rash cream. Well we just happen to have some in the house so I did and I could believe how fast and how good it worked. The one I am using I think it is called Desitin Diaper Rash Cream.
Nothing beats a good Diaper Rash Cream

Calmoseptine
Calmoseptine is another product that works great. It has the zinc in it like the diaper cream, but is also has menthol. It actually says on the directions/label to use for feeding tube sites.
CVS didn't have it. I didn't check Walgreens. But my Health Mart pharmacy carried it. They make a lot of deliveries to nursing homes - so they knew what it was, and had it

We'll have to put this
one in the super thread! I used Diaper Rash stuff for my neck (the Calendula cream I used was baby butt cream)....it too was great....wish I'd thought of using it on my PEG stoma.

PEG
Wow you would not believe how good my PEG tube stoma looks now. I been dealing with this rash problem for almost a year and just never thought about using a diaper rash cream. Well just hope this post helps someone else who may have the same problem.
Take care everyone
