    Port then Chemo

Onco says chemo every 3 weeks for 6 months, using a chemo drug and drugs called antibodies. taxotere, herceptin and pertuzumab.  she said one of the drugs will cause my legs to swell but she would give me a shot for that. and something about a neulasta shot i guess for my bones.  she just had a lot of info and I am trying to process all of it. PET said I have residual mutifocal disease in the margin (where I had a lump removed), also a mediastanal lymphadenopathy and a lung nodule.  she wanted me to have a lung biopsy then possible surgery to remove it but I declined.  I told her I would do the chemo then another PET to see where I was.  She said the chemo drugs would work on the lung, too.  But, I guess she wanted to determine if that nodule was breast  mets or lung cancer.  What's the difference  and why have another surgery if I don't have to.  Sorry this is so long, just wanted to explain what ws going on and see if anyone has any advice.  Thanks to all and have  blessed evening!!!!

    I went to Stage 4 in 2005

I went to Stage 4 in 2005 with bone and lung mets.  Liver mets this year and chemo again, but I am back in remission.  Remember that we don't come with an expiration date and many with Stage 4 live a long time.  Hugs and prayers!

I have decided I am going to stay positive, pray, and kick cancer's butt AGAIN.  I know with The Almighty I can do anything.  And Thanks to everyone on here for all the support.  It's great to have a place to come to.

I am very sorry and have to agree second time around is brutal

I was diagnosed with stage IV 18 months ago - multiple bone tumors in more than 10 locations. my first time was in 2008. Both times undergone Chemo first followed by antiestrogen therapy.

I have been doing ok and still working full-time.

Please stay connected, PINK sisters and brothers on this site are very supportive and inspiring. my first time I was on my own with my family. I could not pull through stage IV diagnosis and treatment without support from wonderful people from this CSN group.

    Hugs to you

    Nothing

I felt nothing, except I had a lump toward the under side of my arm (same side I had mx on), had surgery, biopsy, the PET and was told mets.  But, the lump was very sore and it grew very, very quickly.  I have had a little dry cough for about a month or so, thought it was my allergies.  And, Thanks everyone for all the prayers and good wishes.  I hope in our lifetime they find a cure for this demon.
