Kiss

Hi everyone ! Its me Lisa with a new picture, me with my head shaved ! Had it done on Mothers Day with my 3 beautiful children. I just couldn't bear the thought of losing it at home alone. My kids and family think it looks great ! I do to ( I think ).I had my chemo on Thursday and had the perjeta and the herceptin. Had to stop after that because I had some sort of cardiac reaction that turned out to be indigestion. On Friday I went back for the taxotere and it went well. Spent the Wednesday before the first treatment until Saturday with my children in my home town. They were there by my side both at the hospital and at their homes. I was truly blessed to have all 3 and my grandbabies there with me. I really had very minor effects, little nasua come Saturday and a headache. Today I had to return to the Medical Center to get my Nuelasta shot. Im feelin the effects of that but its nothing this lady can't handle. My home right now is scented with a pork roast with pineapple, cauliflower, and potatoes. Ohhhh I cant wait for dinner.

On the other hand, I am glad the scare factor of the 1st chemo treatment is over and I now know what to expect but Im sure there are going to be hidden little things that will creep up unexpected. It's still scary to me and I am feeling overly anxious and whatnot. Ive been afraid to fall asleep, even to take a nap. Has anyone else gone through this kind of emotion in the beginning?  Its not that Im afraid I wont wake up, I'm afraid of how I'm going to feel when I do suddenly awaken in the night. Ive always got my hunny by my side every night so I know Im safe and all but still.......kinda scares me.

The staff and the nurses and my own Doctor were in and out both days visiting with me and all his other patients that were there both days I was and when I went to the Medical Center this morning at 8:30 my Doctor was there to see me and chat a few minutes with me while I waited to see if I would of had any immediate reaction from the shot I got. He is so pleasant and has a true heart of gold full of love and care for all his patients. How lucky I am. It really put a smile in my heart and on my face when I saw him this morning.

Well, thats all I have for the moment, its 5:37pm here in upstate NY and dinner is almost ready. I hope you are all doing good and Im here to listen or talk via this board. I dont go for treatment again for 3 weeks so I will be home most of the time and take time for a visit to see my kids during the week and of course, more doctor appts !!!! I hope to be talking to you all again maybe later tonight or tomorrow.
