Just wondering if anyone was familiar with this treatment for mets to the liver. It was a option a doctor discussed with my husband today.

Thanks!

    Goldie1, Not sure if you
    Goldie1,
Not sure if you also posted this question on the colon club site, or, you could search for earlier threads on the topic.
I don't know where you live, but I am glad you have a doctor that would discuss this as an option. It is not done everywhere. Neither are a number of procedures., so it's good to know what and where other options are available, and......go with experience.
I know someone here had Sir Spheres treatment recently. I often wonder what is the best for liver mets.....but let's hope for the good doctors to guide us.

No, it wasn't me on the Colon Club but that's a great idea for me to check out! I have read all I can about chemoembolization but I was curious if anyone on this board actually had this treatment and how it worked for them. We live in Southern New Jersey, very close to Philadelphia, PA. My husband's oncologist referred him to a doctor at Cooper Medical Center also in NJ to discuss Radio Frequency Ablation Therapy. But, the doctor thinks that chemoembolization may be a better way to go. So, that doc is going to talk to the oncologist and decide the best course of treatment. My husband is very receptive to the chemoembolization if the docs tell him it's a go...just waiting on the decision.

    Thanks again and take care!
