Trachea cancer

Has anyone had to deal with trachea cancer? I know it is very rare and would like to connect with someone who maybe can share with me their experience. My windpipe was almost closed up with tumor before a Doc found it.
they thought I had asthma , blocked arteries. then when the arteries were clear, it was just shortness of breath.They had no idea. I have had a resection and now going through radiation. I feel alone because I dont hear of anyone ever having it,which I know there has to be somewhere. Thank you
