Update

in Colorectal Cancer #1
As promised, results: Yesterday, I met with oncologist. MRI of liver, clear. CT of abdomen and lung, clear. CT of pelvis shows area which appears to be a mass. Further evaluation required - ultrasound, the 15th. LFTs and CEA continue to rise....liver biopsy on the 18th. So...a little mixed.
I am concerned but not panicking.

    One day at a time girl, there seems to be something going on. A game plan will be mapped out. Please keep us informed, we are here rooting for you. Panicking never helps, but those pesty little thoughts are no help either. I also have a few more tests in the near future and the waiting for results is the hardest.

    Hi Kathleen Mary...I'm curious, if scans of liver are clear why are they doing a liver biopsy?

    Yes, it does seem like something is going on. Now, to find the patience until there is an answer.

    SmokeyJoe, the liver biopsy is being done because of consistently rising LFTs (over a year) with no explanation. Could be a disease process other than cancer.
