    No Experience of That Sort
    I wish I could help.

I did take Tamoxifen which did induced me into a chemical menopause. My only problems with tamo was that it did give me a thicken endometrium which eventually led to bleeding (polyps) and a D&C. Minor hot flashes. No depression or anything like you describe. I used tamoxifen for 4 years until a recurrence.

Hoping someone will be able to help you.

    Best,

    Doris

    Welcome
First of all congratulations on your 7 years great accomplishment
Chemo put me into Chemo induced menopause. It was awful going through both simultaneously.
I have been on various anti estrogen therapies including Tamoxifen for 3 years now sometimes I get irritated , however I do not think more than average person. Maybe support group like our board will be helpful for you. Please stay and give your help to others

I hear ya! I asked for a med
I hear ya! I asked for a med when I got diagnosed in my other breast. I knew what it was like the first time and I knew going through chemopause wouldnt be good. I was always someone that suffered from PMS. But now there is no relief once the period starts as there is no period. so I was getting through everything ok, when they changed my med to the generic. UH Oh, I have been a raving witch. Things that irritate me REALLY irritate me, I am so emotional right now. At first I thought it was things that have been going on around here, but then I connected the dots. so I have an appointment and will get switched to name brand only. I take a mini dose but clearly it helps. I am also on tamoxifen. Its not easy dealing with all this and we cant help how the treatment affects our emotions and chemistry. But i am determined to make every day count and if I need something to help that so be it. I find it just makes me more even and logical. So I hope this helps but you are not crazy, we all react differently.

Hello supergirl13! I too have been on tamoxifin for a short period of time and the mood swings and irregular periods have been very challenging.
