in Head and Neck Cancer #1
Saw my ENT today for my 6 week follow-up, scoped my throat all looks good, still some risidual swelling but he said that is normal, since radiation is the gift that keeps on giving...said I looked perky and that he will see me again in 6 weeks. Thats good news to start the weekend..every one be safe be well and have a great weekend.

    Thats really good news Linda, its always good news when scopes, tests and scans
    come back good and clean. You will have many, many, many more to come and
    They too will be all good and clean. With a positive attitude and faith we will all
    Go on to live our "New normal" lives.

    Did he have you say EEEEEeee with the scope shoved through your nostril and down your throat.

    Congrats on the clean scope....yep, I still have residual at three years out, not expecting it to leave willingly anytime soon.

    Why yes
    Why yes he did LOL, I don't know why they spray that stuff in both nostrils, it never gets numb before he starts, only on the drive home and then it's always numb at the back of my top teeth..oh well what ever it takes to hear the words " everything looks good".

    Good news, I guess if they have to keep putting things in our bodies, the least they could do is finish with the words Everything Looks Good. I smiled about the numb teeth, when I went for my Biopsy I did not realize until I started driving home that my left ear was totally numb, guess no big deal but weird. I think Pink Floyd had a song with the words "Comfortably Numb" any way keep up the good reports. Us newbeeeees need to see these blogs.

    Numb Numb Numb....
    I gave up on the numbing stuff a few years ago.

    My ENT would use the spray an then I'd sit for 15 minutes or so while he visited another patient.

    I figured out that if I just endure the small discomfort, I'd be finished 15 - 20 minutes earlier each time.

    Always nice to hear a good report Linda. Congrats!

    I am like Skiffin, forget the spray, just do it. Been scoped so many times now it really doesn't bother me one bit. My wife watched one time and she came out of her chair in disbelief. She couldn't believe it didn't bother me.

    My first appt. with my ENT after my treatment is in a few weeks and hope to get the same results.
