First I'd like to thank the academy...
And second, i'd like to thank my DOCTOR who is incredibly smart. I'd also like to thank my SURGEONS who studied hard and know their craft.
We are lucky to have talented people out there who work hard at trying to beat this disease...

P.S. And don't show your leg while accepting the award. It will be all over the internet.

    Robert Zimmerman
Have you listened to his album Nashville Skyline? He does a song with Johnny Cash singing with him on it. That's the one with Lay Lady Lay on it. He's very listenable on that album for those who aren't crazy about his voice. Sometimes he's tough to hear but I'm a fan and I love his phrasing (timing) not to mention he wrote some incredibly powerful songs. I saw him back in 1975 at Madison Square Garden, great show. I really like him with the Traveling Willburys too and of course with The Band...
My oldest son is named after him (Dylan, not Robert!)

    Phil, Love The Traveling Willbury's
After Leslie mentioned listening to them on a trip home one time, I recorded everything I could find. What a bunch of "great ones" in that group! Just couldn't get into Dylan, but I'm a big Baez fan. I'm not familiar with Robert Zimmerman, but I have most all of Johnny Cash stuff. Do you remember a country singer named Wade Hayes? Hadn't heard about him in years, but converting cassettes to CD's, I looked him up online and found that he also was undergoing treatment for colon cancer.

BTW, I forgot to congratulate you on your milestone.

    Thanks Wolfen
There were many bumps on the journey.
Robert Zimmerman is Bob Dylan's real name! I never heard of Wade Hayes but I'm not a big fan of country (or Western).
I do like Hank Williams, Patsy Kline, and the original country stuff.

    What, no 8-tracks???
    :-)

    Nope
No more 8 tracks. They're long gone. I'm also a fan of the earlier country/western, from 1950's thru 1970's. As usual, everything changes over time. Most of today's "country " stars don't fit my idea and I don't recognize their music. Would have liked to have seen George Strait here in Feb. but tickets were around $600 each, so will listen from afar. LOL

    Be well,

    Love Ya,

    Wolfen
