Caner is back

Had my CT yesterday which showed 2-3 small nodules. Three months ago my CT was clear and my ca125 was in the teens. The ca125 is now 109. Will start Doxil on Tuesday. This brings to an end my vaccine trial that I was so hopeful would be a success.
I am also planning to end my nursing career. I think it is time to retire.
Have any of you had long remissions after a reoccurance? Any suggesions or info I should need to know about Doxil? I guess another company is making it with a little different name and they think they will have it for me Tuesday.
Not the news I wanted or expected but that is what I got so I must do the best I can with it.
I had been having the same belly pain that I had had before diagnosis for a couple months but since last tests were good they thought it was adhesions or a GI problem. They probably wouldnt have repeated the tests in less than 3 months anyways. At least they found it and I will be treated.

So sorry you have be back on the "treadmill"
Yes, I was on a complete course of Doxil, I think it was eight doses. There is quite a lot to know about this chemo. You should recieve a pamphlet written by the Doxil company and I got this kit that contained ice packs and a nurse would call me each month. Since you're a nurse, I'll bet you've already googled and know some of the side effects. I followed the instructions to the letter and didn't have skin, mouth, etc. problems. I'm also sorry that this is going to put an end your nursing career. My husband recently retired and smiles extra hard on Monday mornings. Here's to getting back down to the teens!
