Juice and sugar and cancer

I am wondering if the concentrated sugar in juice (such as carrot, beat and apple) would be feeding the cancer, and bad instead of good?

    does sugar
really feed cancer? I eat an organic ice cream sandwich every day.. It helps keep my weight up. If sugar promotes cancer, then anything that produces sugar would not be good.. and that includes fruit...maybe the complexity of the sugar makes a difference..
sugar in fruit or potatoes is different than sugar in cookie..
Hoping the juicing of fruits is good for our bodies..

    Low Glycemic diet
I have been told that one should be on a low glycemic diet when one has cancer. This would mean no ice cream fruit juice etc. It would allow carrots, but not carrot juice, etc. I am wondering if anyone else has heard this?

    I think for the glycemic
I think for the glycemic index, its the lower numbers take longer to metabolize and don't spike the blood sugar like say a candy bar. So then there is not so much sugar in the blood stream. Sound right? I know there is more to it than that and I hope to hear from some that have more knowledge.

I have to look up information and ask many questions about this kind of thing. There is just so much information. What I do know is there is probably going to be a little something on the downside with many foods that we think of as good foods. I try to weigh the benifits of my choices and do the best I can.

I listen, study, learn, and practice.

Keep in mind, that cancer cells steal sugar (glucose) from good cells.

You will starve your good cells into illness long before a cancer cell
knows about "less sugar" being taken in, so be very careful about
    following advice based on hype.

The cancer cell uses the fermentation process to remain alive.
It takes in glucose and churns out lactic acid. The lactic acid
is converted back into glucose by the liver and sent back into
the blood stream. Unfortunately, the active, growing cancer
cell will use more glucose than a normal "good cell", and does
so at the expense of all your good cells' health.

So short-changing your glucose intake will do damage to
your good cells first, and the cancer last.

It's far better to eat a well-rounded diet, complete with meat,
veggies, fruit, fish, etc etc... You'll be healthier and happier,
and your system will be better able to fight what doesn't belong.

    Best wishes for better health,

    John

    ketogenic diet
A ketogenic diet that replaces glucose (from carbs) with selected oils, like fish oil and medium chain triglycerides of saturated fat (like a light end of coconut oil) is a possibility to fuel "good cells" but not cancer cells. Body still has to have enough lipase from own organs (liver, pancreas) or supplemental enzymes to process the healthy oils.

Is there a role for carbohydrate restriction in the treatment and prevention of cancer?(2011)

"http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2408928/?tool=pubmed">Growth of human gastric cancer cells in nude mice is delayed by a ketogenic diet supplemented with omega-3 fatty acids and medium-chain triglycerides(2008)

The ketone bodies can be anti inflammatory and preserve brain cells, too.

Coconut oil is good for you.
Coconut oil is good for you. I have sugar but I do limit them considerably. Red meat, maybe once a month....very little.

I do eat chicken. I never craved sugar until I got on Chemo.
