Karen_Karen brought up a great topic. What to do with extra meds that you no longer need.
I found this post on the Colon Club website. The general consensus is that one can give them back to your oncologist and often they can get the meds to those who can not afford the meds due to lack of insurance coverage or other reasons. It certainly seems like a good solution.
Thanks Karen for bringing this up.

I also like the thought of posting the meds, due to there may be others on THIS board who cant afford the meds.

    Extra meds
    Hey Phil,
Thanks for taking the time out and finding that post on the Colon Club Website. I wish I would have done the same. I would have never thought of giving them back to the onc. office.
I would have thought that they would be the first to shut the idea down, due to rules and regulations (???). I'm glad they have a heart. I'll know what to do if I'm ever in that position again. If anyone else has any other solutions, I'll be glad to hear them.

Hi Winter Marie, I have a hunch that openly giving or trading meds through THIS website would violate something in the T&C and would be stopped faster than a SPAM sandwich goes through one's digestive tract. Like everything, there are ways around it I'm sure.

I doubt that they advertise it openly but I would think that if one were to approach their favorite chemo nurse that they could help people out.
