in Esophageal Cancer #1
Got a message from Jeff and he asked me to update the group. I'll quote from his message: "I met with some post surgical complications...had the mie...developed a leak that wasn't healing...they put in a temp stent that promptly failed as well. I also got pneumonia. I ended up getting the full blown ivor Lewis, passed swallow test last week...home now...tough month... You are welcome to update the group on my behalf, but quite frankly, the complications almost wiped me out!

Glad he's on the road to getting better!! BMGky

    What a relief!
    I was so relieved to see this post. For some reason I typed John instead of Jeff in my post but my heart knew what I was saying! Like I said in my edit, I must still have a "John" on my mind! So glad to hear Jeff is still with us and on the mend even with a tough month! Hoping and Praying that things get better from here!

    Thank you for reaching out to him, BMG. AND for updating us!

    Glad to hear that Jeff's home. What an incredible ride he's been on since Sept 9th. He's been in my thoughts & prayers daily. Sounds like he needed every prayer too! They must be working though - he's home and healing.

    We will continue sending positive thoughts & prayers, Jeff T. You *will* heal! You *will* get beyond this!

    Thank you for sharing the update on Jeff, I have been worried for some time now. Glad to hear he is now home and can begin the recovery process. I know that your husband had the IL as did mine, we know how Jeff is feeling.

    Jeff your in our thoughts, so sorry you had to endure what you went through. Hang in there, life after surgery does get better!
