peg tube/eating problems

Finished my 7 weeks of radiations and 3 chemos on April 18, 2011. I've been with a peg tube from the beginning. I cannot seem to eat a complete meal yet. My taste buds are still altered but getting better. Any suggestions for bland diets as spices flare up the taste buds. I can't have peg removed until I am off the nutrient1 can formula for a month. My repeat Petscan showed cancer free as my monthly exams.

    keep trying to taste something
Yes it does sound like he is on track. Keep trying differnet foods to see what will and will not go down. I remember after months of tube feeding the first thing that I could eat and not have it taste like concrete was Sugar Pops ceral with milk soaked to mush but I didn't care. something went down that tasted ok.
Continue on, my friend it will get better. Hard as it is to believe?

    super thread section?
Thank you Debbie...those are exactly about all I eat however I have been able to eat Carnation Breakfast drink as doctor recommended. It's my dinner's that are a problem. Will I ever eat a normal portion? or maybe I should try eating alittle every couple of hours. The 3-4 cans I feel needed for my nutritional health but I don't know if it interferes with the appetite. It's so frustrating as I'm trying to return to work but seems they want to put me on long term disability:(
Sorry but....Where do I locate the super thread
