    YUM
I remember my first big yummy meal was Thanksgiving, 2 months after my last treatment. Some I could taste, most I couldnt, but the fact that I could eat it... wonderful!

    Enjoy.

    Whopper
Wow! That is quite an achievement. When Buzz was on 100% tube feedings, he dreamed of biting into a big, juicy burger. Congrats on a real milestone. Karen

Encouraging for Jim, he can't wait to eat a fish sandwich from our favorite place on the Intercoastal.

    Whopper
Isn't it amazing how things we used to think were no big deal are now wonderful life experiences. It will only get better as time goes on. I am eight years out of treatments and other than steak (cannot get it down) I can now eat ANYTHING.

And is a really great benefit. Because we drink so much water with our meals and get full you will not have a weight problem going forward.

    Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

you will not have a weight problem going forward

I wish that were true, but for me that's not the case....

I don't have any problems putting weight back on....I'm in the needing to watch what I eat mode so as not to gain too much...

    CONGRATS ON THE MILESTONE
A whopper is a HUGE deal. I have not tried one yet, but think with all of the condiments you can ask for, it would work the best. I did however eat a triple cheese with all of the fixins from In and Out Burger a few months back and it worked fine. Allot of their "special sauce" with tomatoes and onion.

    Enjoy the vicory!!

    WEIGHT GAIN
I am with you John, my body has returned to the metabolic rate that i had pre C. I have gone from my lightest of 177 lbs back up to 195. I am trying hard not to top 200 again as I feel much better at the lighter weight.

I just came back from my sons college after a weekend of college football and tailgating. I am so afraid to step on the scale.

    Best!!
