    weekend
I am off to do some camping with the Hubby and horses. We are riding the Menominee Reservation in Central Wisconsin this weekend with our best friends (about 25 with adults and chidren). It's a beautiful ride through the Rez forest so you know I will be praising my LORD for all my blessings in the saddle.
I hope you all have a blessed weekend!
P.S. Why can't I leave for the day or anytime without checking this group first? lol You guys are great. :)

I want to stay home and read a book, but I often fail at that attempt. So I will try to stay home and sleep.

    a few plans here
Wow! . . . lots of fun going on. Mexico - sigh - sounds beautiful; riding and camping with friends, also sounds like a perfect weekend. Tonight we have a friend visiting so I will make something nice for dinner; tomorrow is a family pickling day - a new experience for me!!; tomorrow evening the family will celebrate my husband's birthday so that means I get to make a cheesecake . . . . Sunday will be quiet with gardening and relaxing.

Right now, Friday afternoon, I am watching the Blue Jays at the birdfeeder - so things are off to a good start. :)

I hope all of the members of this incredible discussion forum find something lovely to do with family and friends.

Hey Pepe! I hope that you are enjoying your trip to Mexico! How nice. :-)
On Sunday, if Rick is feeling up to it, we're hoping to bring his kids and parents to our company for an Open House. They'll be all kinds of kid type stuff for them to do and lots of food. Should be a fun day for all. :-) Happy weekend everyone! Cyn

Harvesting the Garden and Preparing for Fall Plantings
Pepe Have fun in Mexico. I am missing the heat. We went from 80 degrees Monday to Freezing Sleet and Snow at 27 degrees. My nueropathy is missing those beautiful 80 degree summer like weather. Eating lots of Tomatoes, and summer squash from the garden.

    Well.......
Jake and I are beginning our chicken butchering season. Am learning how to do a few new things since we are being more careful about Jake getting cut, etc. It's one of my more favorite things to do--HA! We are still waiting for our newest grandson to be born so maybe he will arrive and rescue us for a few days! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

    Hi There Buddy
Hope you are having fun. Wow what a vacation for you. Hope you are enjoying every minute. Went to Chuck E. Cheese tonight with the grandkids. That is a place where well a big mouse comes out and hugs the little kids LOL. It is too expensive though for these times. Cost us $50.00 for 1 pizza, 4 pops, 120 tokens. Can't believe they can charge that much. Hope you are having an awesome time. You always seem to pop up even when away. You are such a special person on this board :)

Hugs and have a great week. Kim

We are headed to Beltera, a gambling casino in Indiana. A friend of our won some money and is paying for rooms and dinner. I am planning on winning big but only play at the penny machines for the smallest amount so probably won't win enough to quit my job. Lisa

I was supposed to return home tomorrow from my weeks fishing but I returned today. I did the same trip this time last year and fished dawn to dark every day. I was tired but elated. This trip i was barely able to function. I fish alone and with difficult conditions day one took so much out of me I was unable to fish day two and finished in my bunk most of the day. I fished hard day three with better conditions and caught and released some good fish . But again I was so tired and my back and legs so bad I could hardly walk. I spent day four in bed. I went exploring day five though the day started badly. Whatever my immune problems are one of the symptoms is severe asthma. I forgot my ventolin puffer and went back to get it. I had a bad fall on the boat ramp. I should have called it quits there and then but I continued with the day . It was only two good samaratins coming to my aid later that let me get the boat back on the trailer. I spent the next two days in bed. The loss in my mobility and ability to function has shocked me. It has only been twelve mos and I have gone from ablebodied to disabled.I have real doubts about making it thru another year. Ron.

    Can't beat that Pepe!
Hope your having a great time!
    Today I am doing "this".
    Tomorrow I am doing "that".

I have yardwork to do here (Sat) then yardwork to do at my Mom's (Sun).
iPad and some guitar in between.
For those with iPad's, have you checked out the Star Walk app? Amazing at any price but at $4.99 it's a steal. You hold it up to the sky and it shows what the stars and planets are around you.

I wish I could be there!
I really wish I could have gone at the same time as you and your wife. I'm glad you got to go over Independence Day! A fun time. I am hoping to go "home" the end of October. I usually go then every year, but couldn't in 2009 or 2010 due to treatments. If things work out this fall for SBRT I will go once that is done.

Did you get in and snorkel with the whalesharks? I did that summer 2009 right before my dx. It was incredible. I've been to Contoy 3 times landing on the island - other times just boating by. One of my friends used to refer to it as Gilligan's Island! Did you stop and feed Ponchito the ray? It feels so funny when they eat from your hand.

I hope you get to Rolandi's for some great food! Have some for me and give Giancarlo and Delia hugs from me. Enjoy!

    Chemo weekend
Chemo weekend and it has been a tough one, but I am starting to come around now. I'm drinking fresh apple juice from the apples on our tree! Yummmy! After two days of not being able to eat, I kept down oatmeal and the juice. So I know things will start getting better now. We have been enjoying the company of my daughter's boyfriend from the Czech Replublic, but I have been too sick to leave my room since chemo Thursday. (We taught him to play cribbage at chemo, which was fun.) He arrived two weeks ago on a chemo weekend, so he knows what to expect for a few days now. If all goes well this is my last chemo - pushing for SBRT after this.

I'm so glad you got your trip to Mexico to see family and to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean! Soak up some sun and eat some good fresh seafood for me! ENJOY!

eurofestival, daughters first communion and photo contest
its been a fantastic weekend, feeling well after blockage, eating normal again.
my daughters firsat communion was great and the big yumcha lunch with friends and grandparents was relaxed and fun.

just so sad my friends mum who is 75 is going in for colon cancer surgery this wednesday, she has a few spots on the liver. she is a public patient, not sure what the plan is , but it does not sound aggressive enough and as a public patient here you don't get much time with oncs.

i also entered 15 of my best shots in this underwater photo contest. here is hoping.

enjoy mexico pete and i hope everyone elses weekend was great.

    hugs,
    pete
