Clean Scan

I don't know if I should get excited about it or not but Saturday night, I had to go to the Emergency Room due to an infected J-Tube site. The tube was removed about a month ago and the site started showing signs of infection Saturday. Well, as part of the diagnostic process, they did a CT on me with contrast dye. I visited with my oncologist today and he said that the CT was clean. No signs of abnormalities outside of what they would expect due to the surgery.

Now, I know this wasn't a PET/CT but it did make me feel so good to hear that news. I'm a little over two months out from the MIE and I have one more full round of chemo remaining before I get my PET so my fingers are staying crossed until then.

    Awesome
Sorry about the infection from the J tube but awesome to hear the informal CT test showing that it was clean. I love hearing big or small victories on this site.

    Thanks so much to everyone
Thanks so much to everyone for the kind comments! This community is like an extended family. I have to do my last big infusion tomorrow of Cisplatin and Epirubicin. They make me very sick and I dread them so bad. I think I needed this good news to get me through it mentally. Makes me want to go ahead and have a PET.
