Alternative Treatment - Juicing/Budwig

I am new to this site. I just discovered it yesterday. My story as a caregiver is on my "About Me" page. This is such a fantastic site with lots of information. The best I have found so far and I have been reseaching like mad for the past few weeks! We are getting to the end as far as chemo goes so we are looking into alternative options. We have started juicing slowly this week and are considering adding in the Budwig-flaxseed oil/kefir mix to the diet. Has anyone had success with this? I have some specific questions to ask if anyone knows anything about Budwig, but I don't want to waste anyones time with them if there isn't anyone familiar. Thanks in advance!

    Thanks!
    Hi Sherri,

Thanks for your reply. We are not giving up traditional medicine either until they tell us no or Dad decides he doesn't want to do it anymore. We have just started the juicing and hope to start the Budwig diet soon. Dad is open to try anything at this point so that helps. Thanks again for your reply, I am sure I will have plenty more questions in the future and I will try to add to any conversation that I have knowledge of.

    Maybe, but not with chemo
    Hi Heather,

We have researched many natural treatments and tried some as well. But Tom was loosing weight like crazy and in the end went on with the chemo and radiation. One thing I want to caution you about is that you should not combine chemo (even weeks after the end of chemo) and detox as they potentially could offset each other.

    Good luck!

    ASK THE DOCTOR...
    Heather,
I also researched the Budwig protocols..
Be careful as I was told the flax-seed oil can thin the blood! I have malignant tumors that like to bleed into my digestive track, that would be as bad a mix as aspirin. I learned the MOST I have found out about ALL the alternative treatments from the most unlikely source; my ONCOLOGIST. She is not against ANY of the alternatives and has been so forthcoming in helpful and HONEST information and I have learned that if you try anything like those without telling the doctors it can cause problems, as can some of the treatments. I am not against ANY of them, and use a few myself now. But I am grateful that I learned and avoided making myself much worse by asking!

Good luck, please let me know what you decide to do and how it works too. I am very curious. All the above is personal to ME and my type of cells and tumors, so it applies to ME. So take your own path and ASK too. I am so glad you posted this though.

Best of luck and we are all in this together.
