---

I went to Loma Linda Urgent Care and was seen by Dr. Fakhoury. He is a very good, thorough, doctor and a true professional who actually listens. I never felt uncomfortable and I had to totally disrobe and put on a gown. I even removed my underwear and never once felt ill at ease.

Why did I remove my underwear...I had gotten a large splinter broken off in the back of my upper thigh when sliding across my yet to be refinished wooden floor (house built in 1924!) while attempting to fix the printer. The reason I removed my underwear is because my entire backside through to my crotch as well as my lower back all the way down to the backside of my knee was entirely numb also the wound had a few radiating-like red lines going in all directions. This, I thought the doctor should see! I mean, that was what I was there for..!

If ever there was a time for misconduct this would certainly seem as good a time as any; especially since I was really numb and could barely feel anything front to back. Initially he had a nurse accompany his exam of me, but I hadn't dressed yet when he began to discuss his findings. (I still had on the gown.)

I'm just finding it hard to believe such allegations could be true. I'm really considering calling the detectives and telling them about my experience with Dr. Fakhoury. I'm sure mine is not the type of experience they are looking to hear about, but still...

What do you think?

    Doctor Behavior
When there are unsavory allegations against someone with whom you have had contact it does make you think twice, doesn't it? I have a law degree and have worked in a Public Defender's Office, private law firm, and insurance companies. It is probably not the detectives that you should be talking to with the experience you have mentioned with Dr. F. They are essentially looking for witnesses to support their case. They want other "victims" that might show a pattern of behavior. You need to talk to his DEFENSE attorneys. They may want to use someone like you as a character witness.

Well duh... /smacks self in forehead/

Of course, you are absolutely correct it's the defense that would want to hear about what I have to say. =) I guess --who'm I kidding?!!-- no, I really was just stuck on my experience versus the allegations.

Many, many, thanks Irene for saving me from what would most surely have been an incredibly awkward conversation! =D

    Yikes!
As someone said, more will probably come out of the woodwork, if these allegations are true....and if true, more than likely these two women weren't the first....so many times these types of things go unreported...it takes a few brave ones to come forth and then others find out they're not alone....good thing looks don't show guilt because this one looks sinister....yikes....when did you see this doctor?

    I think doctors that abuse
I think doctors that abuse are probably like other abusers. They don't abuse every single patient that comes in. I read the article and it seems the two complaints are women different ages and situations. Unless you are positive and knew without a doubt he would never molest why would you want to. It wont stop the investigation but if it did could you live with it if he got off and continued to abuse and years later it was proven he did? Sexual allegations to doctors are not easy allegations to make from a patient standpoint nor easy to prove. The fact that 2 separate (may be more now haven't read latest news) women complained and one of the elderly it is suspiscous to me. You however should do what makes you feel best and what you can live with. That is most important.

    Excellent suggestion -- Irene ..
separate facts -- by victim. I hate it to my core when a women or the elderly are taken advantage of -- especially by fraud, medical professionals or slimy family members.

If it doesn't feel right, or taste right -- switch doctors, hospitals, churches, friends, jobs. Otherwise, we would never have the .... opportunity to grow and learn. Just my humble opinion.

    Strength, Courage and Hope.

    This is going on everywhere
Where I live this has going on with doctors and other professionals. There were twin brothers who were doctors who went to jail for Let's say "Inappropriate behavior with young boys". Slowed down with doctors BUT we have ministers, coaches, teachers etc where it is happening every time we pick up the paper. They are intelligent respectable(were),professional and loose it all.I have no idea what is going on today with this kind of behavior/crime.Like someone said to me the other day.Why do these people take kids etc when they can go to a bar and pick someone up????Just a couple days ago it was brought up at a place I was.

Like Irene said.Go to his defense. If just a few would. We don't know but we can support with what we went through.I was in the hospital for 2 months once.Seriously ill and eventually a serious operation.I was probed, checked etc for all that time and I got used to it.Doctors go through this daily.

I will read this but it sounds like what you are saying isn't good for your doctor. There could be many more victims or just a couple cases. Then there could be someone like you who MAY go to his defense.

Like I mentioned this is rampant in the area I live.Even happened about 5 miles from my house.A coach and a young girl.
